WetμFluid combines innovative characteristics: It is for the first time that the parameter of wettability is introduced in relation with the nucleation and growth of sparingly soluble salts. The study is further combined with the presence of organic phases and surfactants in supersaturated solutions. The innovative nature and design of microfluidics is expected to provide the possibility to focus on the heterogeneities of the system due to wettability variation combined with the role of the composition of the supersaturated fluids. Experiments using supersaturated solutions shall be done in packed beds of varying wettability and in combination with the ex-situ micro CT-scanning. Thus, information about the topology and the conditions of formation of the new mineral phase is expected to be obtained.
